The Ouroboros Seed

The Hearthseekers have worked out how to access the Chronofiend homeworld and have foolishly brought back a piece of it. Dampening the worst of its effects with the Foresight Array and Chronofiend Repellant, players try to move fast enough to get the artifact off the ship before the Chronofiends get it.

Special Rules:

When the Cargo Hold is revealed, place the Scenario token into it. This token represents the Chronofiend Artifact. To collect the Artifact, both the Chronofiend Repellant and the Foresight Array must be discarded by a player in the Cargo Hold, though these discards can be done on different turns.

When a player collects the Artifact, Chronofiend movement changes. All Chronofiend movement is towards the Artifact. If two Chronofiends are ever in the same Room, one of them moves again (instead of the Normal Rule of returning to a Chronofiend Room). The Artifact is returned to the Cargo Hold when the Loop resets. Eulalia’s Echoes in the Present cannot be used to hold onto it. Players lose if a Chronofiend is in the same room as the Artifact.

Goals:

Too Hot To Handle:

Discard the Chronofiend Repellant and Foresight Array in the Cargo Hold. Then give the Artifact to any player whose character is in the Cargo Hold.

Nuclear Football:

Once the Artifact is claimed in this way, it must be carried to the Docking Bay (Locality). It can be traded to any Player under the normal Trading rules, but not through the Liosian Skill bonus. The player who possesses the Artifact must Resolve every room they enter, regardless of the existence of Resolved tokens. The time needed for this is always equal to half of the time indicated on the Room Tile, and all Abilities, Skills, and Boosts apply as normal.

Resolving the Room in this way does not result in placing a Resolved token, nor gaining any Rewards for that Room. Players win when the player possessing the Artifact Resolves the Docking Bay.
